Welcoming the Year of the Horse with Spirit Gate Wellness

Atelier Bloem joined Spirit Gate Wellness, an acupuncture and wellness studio in West Los Angeles, for an intimate Lunar New Year celebration on February 25, 2026. Katya Mosely, L.Ac., hosted the event and invited a group of women to connect, relax with wellness services, and welcome the new year together.

In Chinese tradition, Lunar New Year marks a fresh start, often with symbols of renewal and progress. The Year of the Horse brings associations with energy, forward movement, and perseverance. We drew on that spirit to create floral arrangements with clean lines, soft textures, and gentle flow, adding warmth and subtle motion to the studio's calm space without overpowering it.

About the Collaboration

We partnered closely with Spirit Gate Wellness to craft floral installations that fit the studio setting perfectly.

Our arrangements supported the event's theme of renewal: structured yet understated, with shapes and layers that blended in smoothly. They brought visual softness and interest while keeping the focus on the wellness activities. Because our arrangements need no water or upkeep, they can be placed days before the event, ready the moment guests arrive.

Floral Direction

We emphasized clean shapes, natural movement, and thoughtful textures to match the studio's welcoming, grounded atmosphere.

We kept ornamentation minimal and focused on pieces that worked with the space, enhancing the room while respecting its role as a place for acupuncture and relaxation. These arrangements perform well under indoor lighting, hold their form over time, and move easily to other settings like offices or future events.

Community

Guests gathered in a comfortable setting to mark Lunar New Year, enjoy mini massages by Soft Heart Collective and ear seeding by Natalie Bauman, L.Ac., sip from the lucky citrus bar by Good Box Organics, try fiber bars by Floura Fiber Bars, and chat with other women. The event provided a relaxed way to celebrate the transition into the Year of the Horse, building community through shared moments of renewal.
